This workshop will engage participants in creating a short 30 second cellphilm (cellphone + filmmaking). Cellphilms are an emerging participatory visual research method that seeks to reframe people's everyday media-making practices.
Dr. Casey Burkholder: Assistant Professor, University of New Brunswick
Dr. Casey Burkholder is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of New Brunswick. In choosing a research path at the intersection of citizenship, gender, inclusion, DIY media-making, and Social Studies education, Casey’s work contributes to ‘research as intervention’ through participatory approaches to equity and social change.
